    Q. Tell us about your academic background. What were your grades? What motivated you to pursue MCA?

Rohith: I completed my graduation in B.Sc(MECs) from Sri Vivekananda Degree College, Anantapur and secured 8.4 CGPA. Technology fascinates me a lot. I thought MCA suits my interest.

    Q. What other MCA entrance exams did you take? Your percentile or score in these exams?

    Q. Did you join any coaching classes? What other resources did you find most helpful during your preparation? (e.g., books, online platforms, mock tests)

Rohith: No, I have not taken any coaching classes. During preparation, ICET related video classes on YouTube helped me a lot.

    Q. What's you take on mock tests? What kind of mock tests did you take, and how helpful were they? When did you start taking mock tests?

Rohith: I took only one AP ICET mock test available on the website exactly one day before the exam to check my answering speed. But I believe that taking mock tests help to know your preparation level and it is important to practice mock tests regularly.

    Q. Are there any specific subjects or sections of the MCA entrance exam that you found particularly challenging? How did you approach them during your preparation, and what advice would you give to other students struggling with those areas?

Rohith: According to me Mathematical Ability was a bit difficult and time consuming. To tackle this I used to practice more on this subject to answer the questions to improve my speed.

    Q. What was your exam-taking strategy? How much time did you take to complete a section? Were there any specific topics or sections that you found challenging during the exam? Any tips for managing time in the exam, like how much time to be given to which section?

Rohith: My exam-taking strategy was to attempt less-time consuming topics first. So I started my exam from the 21st question which comes under analytical ability because questions 1 to 20 are very time consuming. It is better to try them at last. Remaining analytical ability questions should be completed in 45 minutes. It is good to give 45 minutes for communication ability.

    Q. The AP ICET exam is known for its speed and time management requirements. How did you develop your speed and accuracy in answering questions within the given time limit?

Rohith: The AP ICET exam consists of 200 questions and students have to answer them in 150 minutes. Each question has to be answered in an average of 45 seconds, so it means your speed is important. I spend more time studying time consuming concepts to improve my speed which helped me to crack exam with good scores.

    Q. With such an impressive score, you must have various options available for pursuing an MCA. Which colleges or institutes are you considering for your MCA, and what factors are you considering while making your decision?

Rohith: I am still not sure which college/university to attend for admission. I have shortlisted some Universities like Andhra University, JNTUK, JNTUA, SV University. The factors I am considering while getting admission in MCA are tuition and hostel fees, education quality, environment and hostel facilities.
